Paunnie Models His Wifebeater

I always hate it when Mommis leaves the house with Paunnie and not me, or me and not him. It always means something bad.

Yesterday after we went to the park, she left with Paunnie and he was gone all day.  I was okay, because I had Tucker with me for day care, but I wondered what happened with Paun.

He wandered in around 4 PM, and he was pretty bummed.  He immediately laid down at Mommis’ feet and went to sleep.

Only later did I find out why: Mommis betrayed him. She took him in for surgoire to remove the bump on his back. And while he couldn’t resist, she had his teefies cleaned. So not only does he have ten staples in his back and a big square shaved place with no fur, but I bet his teefies hurt too,

He ate dinner, and then he laid right down again. Before he went under he told me he felt pretty good. And then Mommis told me he was on Tramadol, a drug they give humams.

Mommis put a wifebeater on him so we couldn’t lick his wound. He can’t reach it cuz it’s on his back, but I would be very willing to clean him.  I clean Mommis all the time when she lets me.

I hope she takes the wifebeater off so I can clean his wound one day soon. And I hope he doesn’t get addicted to those pills.

Should Mommis sell the rest of them when he gets well? Comments?

This time she tried to fake me by not packing the yellow suitcase. She’s only taking the red thing. The thing the laptop goes in. But when she put the pills and the toothbrush in the red thing too, I knew where this was trending. She doesn’t take those when she goes to a meeting.

So last night, when she went out to dinner with Doris and Jerry, I took the red thing. I was gonna try to take it out in the back yard and examine what was in it to see if I was right and she was abandoning me. If it had any unders or a bra, I’d know for sure.

But man, was it heavy.  By the time I got it to the dog door, my teeth were sore from carrying it. I couldn’t quite get it, and me, through the door. And then somebody came by the house, and I had to do my job. I went to the window to look and bark to keep us safe.

And then ( I live in the present) I forgot I left it there, and she found it when she came home and figured it out.

That’s why I constantly am in the dog house.

I can’t understand why Mommis isn’t praising me. I turned over the garbage and sorted it all by myself when she was at Pilates this morning. Do you think that was easy? First I had to step on it exactly the right way, and then, when it hit the floor, the big sort began. I spread it out carefully so everything was visible for her.

But when she came home, she yelled “No, no no,” which I’ve learned means something bad, although I don’t know what.

Then that AKer Paunnie ran up to her and leaned against her thigh. “I didn’t do it, I didn’t do it,” he told her. And she believed him, although of course after I started it, he nosed through it, too.

But she loves him more than me. She calls him Main Man.

So I’m going out on the back deck, and I’m going to lay low. Even though it’s wet out there.

She’ll get over it. I’m cute. But I have to leave her alone for a while.

Mommis told me that.

We like to go in the lake. Paunnie goes fimmin, but I just walk around in the water by the edge. Why bother fimmin?

I saw a big bird here this morning with a long neck. Mommis tried to take a picture of it but she couldn’t get close enough. Then I made it fly. I can make any bird fly.

Mommis left early yesterday to go to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. She left us alone all day, and it rained, so we had to stay in. When she came home at night, I knew she was tired, I could see it on her face, and I knew she’d go straight to bed. It was way past her bed time. But when I tried to get up on the bed to snuggle with her, Paunnie was already there. He’s always there. He lays down in the middle of the bed every night. I hop up there, but then I have to sleep on the floor.

Last night, I had to wrestle him to the ground on the bed. I knew Mommis wanted to play with me for a change. But even when he’s on bottom, he still kind of has me pinned. He’s just so much bigger than I am.

We didn’t leave Mommis much room to get on the bed, either.

Paunnie thought he had to take care of Mommis, so he got up by the pillow and took his position. He’s the senior dog, so we all understand he owns the bed. But when Mommis says, “c’mon boys,” we know we can all get up in bed with her.

So here we are, me and Bluey and Paunnie. Mommis tried to get us all in the picture, but she was too close to us. I think she was worried if she got off the bed we would leave too.

We always follow her. Sometimes she doesn’t go anywhere interesting, but sometimes….DOG PARK!
