Mommis brought this home with her from a meeting and left it on the kitchen table. I thought it was for me. She went out for dinner, and I chewed on it and tried to digest it for her. It wasn’t easy. It took a long time to get the spiral binder loose.
It wasn’t very good, so I only got the bottom done. I ate up Private, but gave up on Offering Memorandum. I left it on the kitchen floor for her.
It wasn’t for me. It was for Ed. She yelled that at me when she came home. “Buppy, no es para ti.” (She thinks she’s cool cuz she’s learning Spanish from Olivia.) “This is for Ed.”
So it vanished from the house. But that’s okay. I have formed my opinion. If she wants to invest, fine. But she has convinced me it’s not for a perro (dog in Spanish).
This morning we went to Starbucks. Well, really we went to the Biltmore golf course, which is still closed and smelling very good to me.
We went so late that Mommis didn’t have time to take us home before she got coffee, so she walked us around the front of this office building, through this beautiful landscaping, and on to the patio at Starbucks through the back entrance.
Usually she just takes us through the store from the front to the back, but it was very crowded.
We love Starbucks; they give us water and cookies. And people love to talk to us and pet us. We are happy to shed on their dark pants. Everyone should wear a little Buppy fur on Monday morning
(Paunnie doesn’t hardly shed at all, but I do!! Aren’t I cool?)
She went to see a freakin’ movie. A fantasy movie, at that. “Across the Universe.” And she went in the dark. She came home in the dark. Bluey and I spent the time she was gone rummaging in her laundry and smelling the good stuff. We brought a couple of yoga tops out to the kitchen to wait with. And a sock.
When she got home, we knew it immediately because we saw the headlights. Me and Bluey beat Paunnie to the window; you can see his face in the background.
Bluey’s not really looking for her; he’s looking for Dan. But Dan went to Tucson tonight. What’s Tucson?
This thing I am looking at? I don’t know what it is, but I thought Mommis was going to hit me with it when she came home and found the bird feathers all over the kitchen.
She didn’t hit me, but she did use this to clean up the feathers, and when it suddenly got quiet she took it over to the garbage (one of my favorite spots in the kitchen) and dumped all the feathers in the garbage. She still hasn’t found the whole bird. I have it hidden. But I have forgotten where I hid it. I am a dog, and I live in the present. That was then, this is now.
Now is that we are having another sleepover with Bluey. And Mommis bought a Leopard last night. When she takes the Leopard out of the box, should I be scared?
Probably not. I won the fight with the bird.
Mommis went somewhere yesterday and came back with tape over her eye. She didn’t walk us anywhere before she left in the morning for her taping, and when she came home she didn’t drive us anywhere either. She just had some men come in and throw the ball to us: Mark came, and Ed came. And this morning Uncle Dan came and dropped over Bluey. Mommis seems fine, so why isn’t she driving?
We made this video to explain:
Mommis took us back to the place where she got broken today. We have a new coupler so we had to walk together, and you could tell that she thought it was going to be a new era because she kept us on our leash almost the whole time and she brought treats and kept saying “good boys.”
We got through this without incident, and she did let us run a little, when nobody was looking. This is the prettiest park in the middle of a city, but the dog park part of it is the worse part: it has decomposed granite, which gets in between my toes and is hot in the summer, and it doesn’t have any water. Mommis keeps threatening to call the Mayor, who is her old friend, about it, but then she just takes us to the Biltmore golf course instead.
Today we went to the big dog park where the pit bulls play. Uncle Dan came and brought Bluey, and left him at our house. Then Mommis went to yoga, and something happened with us and the water bowls. It all happened pretty fast, and then the floor was wet, and we walked into Mommis’s room and got up on her bed, and then I saw that we got her bed dirty, and then we tracked it all through the living room and kitchen. I don’t know how that all got so dirty, but when Mommis came home she stunned us all by sweeping AND vaccuming. I didn’t know she knew how to do either of those things. Olivia does them.
So it exhausted us to watch her. Paunnie and Bluey crapped out first, but I waited until I was sure she was going to get on the bed, and then I felt it was safe to take a little rest. I hate that vacuum. Frankly, I don’t even like the broom.
So this closeup of me was taken by Mommis as I was bringing her a piece of toidy paper from the bathroom to clean her shoes. Or maybe I was going to take her shoes to the backyard. Not sure I remember, since I am a dog and I live in the present.
But I do know that the Adobe golf course at the Arizona Biltmore has been closed for two weeks with that same perfumey stuff on it that we have in our front yard that Paunnie rolled in. The good part about this is we can go there and play on the winter grass until it finishes growing in and they open it again.
