So this morning in the park all the dogs were there, so we tried to get them all in a down for a photo shoot. I do down very well ( although not so well at “sit”) and Sammy is awesome at down. So notice who is down for the shoot. Yes, Team Hardaway, a.k.a. The Blue Man Group (for our blue rave collars) Jack is at least in a sit, Xena is running toward the photographer, Amy’s down, the Bernese Mountain Jack is in a down, Moby is walking around, and Lady Leeloo seems to be unconcerned. How come WE always have to obey Mommis?
So she takes me for a walk in the afternoon, and she decides that I’m old enough to go without my leash. So I think she trusts me. But as soon as we start she just begins to yell “heel, B2, heel” like I wasn’t already heeling. I think I am offended, but I’m a retriever and I don’t hold a grudge.
Maybe she’s mad at somebody else, and I just happen to be here.
My little bro Bruce loves to play with me. And I don’t care, except I don’t get much exercise playing with him because I don’t even have to stand up. He, however, gets wiped out. I have to be careful not to paw him to death:-)
my brother Sammy is a pain in the tail. Literally. I am sort of a mellow guy, but Sammy is a whack job. Playing with him always gets me into more trouble than it’s worth. But even when I lay down, and show him I’m done, he doesn’t stop.
Yeah, we got busted by the same cop who always busts Mommis, even though the complaints are never about us. This time we think they were about Amy. Really they’re about a silly law.
But back to the good part: Zoe has something called a pool, which is a lot of water with steps going in. The water tastes funny when you drink it. Mommis walked into it with all her clothes on and when she said “come” I tried to follow her but something happened and all my legs went in different directions. Luckily Mommis held me underneath, because I was scared and wanted to run out.
I did run out, but then Zoe went in and a woman threw a ball. Zoe went after it and I watched how she moved her feet.So I tried the same thing, walking down the steps and moving my feet. And suddenly I was swimming AND fetching! It was so fun!
Also I was two shades whiter when I got out.
There isn’t much going on in our house in the afternoon. Most of the time Mommis is working, and there’s nothing to do so I like to take a nap. Luckily Mommis has a very large comfy bed, and now I’m big enough to jump up on it without her help. I do have my training collar on, but since I didn’t feel a click, I assume I’m not doing anything wrong.
